Took Tommy and Amy to Old Navy and then IHOP. Tommy sat in the car and read his D&D book at Old Navy. He was well behaved and even helped entertain Amy at the restaurant. Now he’s watching a James Bond DVD on TV. I need to search the used book store for some Ian Fleming novels to see if he likes the books too.

Tommy took his bath that he was asked to do 2+ hours ago. He never did the laundry that his mother asked him to do this morning. So now he is at the bottom of the stairs reading a Baby Blues book in a towel while waiting for clothes to dry. Btw, the cat litter box sits on the landing of the staircase that he is lying on right now. While his grandmother was here, he laughed fake laughter so she’d know he was here. Now that she is gone, he is quite again.

Went out to run errands and told Tommy he should start a load of white (i.e. his undies) clothes. He didn’t. Now he’s wandering the house looking lost and confused. If I make a suggestion on what he could do it’ll just eliminate whatever I say because if it isn’t his idea, it won’t get done. But then a lot of men are like that aren’t they?

Dad reports:
I spent 2.5 hours this morning and $140 on Tommy’s theraputic horse riding only to hear he is having a rough day and looking for fights. We decide to leave him at home so we can run a couple of errands and pickup his brother from a birthday party so he calls 3 times during the trip and is now upstairs making exaggerated noises.
Looks like Tommy is crying for attention today.

Tommy is very wacky today. I kicked him off the TV and told him to bathe so he flopped on his floor for 30 minutes like a fish out of water. He decided he wanted to go pester our neighbor but I said he had to bathe first. Then he proceeded to chant “underwear, underwear, underwear” because there were none in his dresser. He continued until I got angry and made him leave the room. Now he has locked himself in the bathroom with a book.

Tommy is a TV zombie today. He doesn’t listen or respond to anything I say. I got angry with him when we were trying to get out the door and yelled at him. He snapped back with a voice full of hate then threw himself down on his bed for 2 minutes before going right back to the TV.

Dad reports this morning:
* Tommy awoke and didn’t bring his medicine down. Who knows how long he has been up. He and his brother were reading and playing video games. The entire family was ignoring the baby’s calls to get her out of the crib.

Tommy passed out on the floor. I nudge him and he asks me to turn off Fantasia and heads to his bed. Good kid.

In the car Tommy started off making throat clearing noises which were obviously irritating everyone. After we picked up Sarah’s friend he attempted to get involved in the dialogue which was primarily Sarah and her friend. Occasionally Doug or I had to ask the girls a question or answer a question from them. This was when Tommy would try to chime in the chat. Every time he tried Doug would snap at him to shut up. I know Doug was trying to keep Tommy from losing control in front of Sarah’s friend but I think Doug forgot that this is the same friend who Tommy flirted with so very much at the ice skating rink back in December. Tommy started complaining about feeling sick and Doug became enraged at the thought of having to clean up one of Tommy’s intentional vomits. Doug started cursing and then I got upset. The rest of the ride was quite unpleasant with Doug snapping and poor Tommy sitting in the backseat making throat noises.

Tommy threatened to throw up the car when we picked up Sarah’s friend. Obviously Tommy was lacking for attention. I really hope we are not entering the puke stage again.
He’s now watching Fantasia.
