Tommy is tense and nervous about something. Maybe about nothing. Maybe just teenage hormones.

Dad reports:
Tommy seems to be looking for reasons to yell and seems to want a fight. I am having a hard time not giving him that fight.

Dad reports:

Tommy now yelling at me because he doesn’t want to take a bath. Excuses: we have a guest over and he has no pajamas. I did really well and only raised my voice slight once when he was refusing to go back upstairs.

Tommy is now outside in the beautiful weather. He looks like he is seeking to be with someone which means he is going to get on the 7 yr olds’ nerves.

Great Day, rough bus

Wednesday, February 18th, 2004

Dad reports:
Tommy had an exceptional day at school although he is still relunctant to do his school work. He had a bad case of the sillies on the bus ride home. 2nd day on the bus, first day riding home. This was half way expected.

I had the pleasant surprised of Tommy actually sitting down and doing math problems with me. He did not understand the process for writing scientific notation at all. He was actually open, although aggrivated at times, to having me teach him. He actually was less argumentative about showing the work than his 10 yr old sister. He seemed to grasp it. I look forward to more math work with him!

A New Day!

This Morning
Tommy was eager to get up this morning. His mother had promised him computer time if he was up and dressed in time for the bus (which showed up at 7:47 this morning! 20 minutes earlier than expected!). He did not allow himself to get overstimulated and seemed have a good time as well as maintaining good spirits. He and I discussed how to ask for help when something is too hard or not understood.
