Tommy played in the bath forever but now he’s settled into bed and snoring.

Tommy has found an effective way to be very snide to me using his mother as his lever. He has become increasingly adept with his sharp tongue; unfortunately for him, he doesn’t realize that each time he does this he makes me want to have less to do with him. I must stay away from him tonight.

Tommy walked in the house jolly and (gasp) polite. He has been wonderfully calm and and pleasant this afternoon.

Came upstairs and semi-slept (that place between awake and asleep where you know everything that’s happening but don’t have the energy to do anything) while the children headed off to school. I asked Tommy to sit by me so he sat on me. I was rescued by the bus arriving. Tommy seemed happy and calm.

Tommy’s problems are nothing compared to Megan’s life.

Dad reports This Morning:
Tommy awoke groggy. Was trying to pick a fight but didn’t get it. He went in his room, laid on his bed, and only put on one shoe. He kept kicking the other around as if to say “please, say something to me about the shoe. I want an excuse to snap at you.” His bus pulled in as I was driving out with his siblings.
