Tommy actually made it through Sunday School without any problems. He had a temper tantrum over something later that upset his grandparents so they brought him home. He remained edgy the rest of the day. He took a 2 hour bath during which he used my shampoo to create bubbles all over himself. Now I need to buy a new bottle of shampoo.
Tomorrow night is our first Asperger;s Support Group meeting. I am not as prepared as I want to be but I’ll worry about that tomorrow.
Tommy and I had a power struggle. He asked a sarcastic rhetorical question and I will not permit that sort of disrespect toward adults so we played the “make eye” contact game while he sat there and intentionally rolled his eyes big. Each time he did so I would start my answer to his question over again. Cathy intevened and asked for a truce.
Tommy is wired. He’s not out of control but more like someone that has had too much caffeine. He is definitely in a “me me me” mood where he has to be the center of attention.
Apparently Tommy did well in church. What a good thing!
Dad reports This Morning:
Tommy is trying church with the grandparents, his brother, his 10 yr old sister and a friend of the brother’s. This is usually a bad scene for Tommy.
