Our Aspergers Teenage Boy

Tommy had a good day at school of course (that’s all the teacher EVER says to us). His grandfather picked him up in the afternoon and now he’ll be with them until Saturday after cookie booths.

After we came home I found out Sarah had a very infected toenail and even though Tommy has had surgery on both of his big toes, he offered her no consolation or advice. In fact, Tommy put on headphones and completely left our realm of existance. He knew that Sarah needed to be the center of attention and he didn’t even try to compete but he also couldn’t participate in the family chaos when it didn’t involve him.
