Sarah tried to play a board game with Tommy. Tommy acted horribly. Wierd noises, silliness, refusal to play by the rules. I sent him to his room and he is now in bed listening to his Uncle’s “Restaurant at the End of the Universe” tapes.

Tommy’s music is getting louder and louder in an effort to get attention. I am frazzled and he’s nt going to like the attention he’s about to get. Who am I kidding? He loves all attention. It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad as long as it is about Tommy.

I woke up Tommy and sent him outside. Immediately after his sister came in complaining because Tommy wouldn’t play by the “rules” of whatever the game was they were playing in the cove. I told her she had two choices. Ignore him or let him play by different rules. She wanted him out of the cove and I refused. It is Tommy’s cove too. She can complain about me to her therapist.

Not wanting to be outdone by the girls, Tommy stayed up much later than he should have. He should have slept in but he instead used the morning as a chance to graze the kitchen and play on my computer unsupervised. It is not yet noon and he has already gone back to bed. I’ll let him nap an hour or so before I force him to get up.

Possible Suicide, Severe Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks in Children and Adults

The FDA has sent a letter to drug manufacturers requesting labeling changes on these antidepressants — warning of possible suicide, worsening depression, anxiety, and panic attacks in adults and children.
Antidepressants have the potential for provoking a manic episode in [bipolar] people
The FDA has been closely reviewing studies of antidepressants in children for the past year after an initial report on studies of Paxil and other drugs suggested an increased risk of suicidal thoughts in children given antidepressants. No suicides occurred in any of the trials, the FDA reports.
