Mom reports: Poor Tommy got very behind in math when he stayed home for a week. Now he doesn’t understand what is happening and dreads even trying to do the work. I am extremely unhappy with his school right now and even unhappier with myself for not keeping him home the entire school year. If it wasn’t for school, he’d be a fairly happy little guy. Dad had a long chat with the classroom teacher this morning. Hopefully he’ll post the conversation.

Dad reports this morning:
Tommy received his medicine at 6:15 and was prodded by me to get up and start his math work. He has tried to sleep in his chair, on his bed (which I folded in half), and sitting at the kitchen table with his head against the wall. He is fighting doing this work with all his might.

Dad reports last night:
Again, Tommy did everything put prop his eye lids open with tooth picks in an attempt to stay away. Eventually we found his asleep on the floor between his bed and the wall (a technique that keeps him awake). We moved him to his bed.
