Tuesday, August 31st, 2004 Dad reports:
Tommy scored himself detention today. Apparently the child in front of him would not quit humming so he threw an eraser into the child’s back.

Tommy scored himself detention today. Apparently the child in front of him would not quit humming so he threw an eraser into the child’s back.
Dad reports this morning:
Tommy starts the day off with no drink in his room so he has to come to the kitchen to take his medicine. This is a ploy I use to get him moving. However, I went downstairs and he made it back to bed. I drag him from bed with the teenage in him moaning, “I hate school!” I like it when Tommy acts ‘normal’.
Now he sleeps on the couch sitting up. Bus arrives in 30 minutes.
Dad reports:
Tommy refused to take some dirty clothes downstairs and instead opted for screaming waking everyone in the house causing everyone tears and me physically removing him from the house. I’m sure his howling woke several neighbors and I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t incite a call or two to the police.
Dad reports this morning:
Tommy wakes up with the usual moans of stretching. Appears calm but has that “I’m going to eat all day” air about him. Talking aloud to himself but not in a crazy way. It is more of a “I want to share my thoughts even if they don’t want to listen” kind of way.
Dad reports this morning:
Tommy is happy today as long as “you just leave [him] alone would ya!”
This morning he started on playing the playstation then he sat on the hammock for an hour or two reading while the dog sat by his side (on a runner). Then he came in and took an hour long bath. Then returned to play an hour or more of playstation.
Dad reports:
Today Tommy played with the showers in the gym, the lights, climbed the bleacher and got kicked out of gym.
During a test he would not stay in his seat, stood up manically laughing, and dumped out all the trash cans (said the other kids were throwing coins into the trash can for him to fish out). Also has a stab wound from a pencil and because he was acting like a nut the teacher paid no attention to his telling that the other child had stabbed him. (its mostly a scratch) but paperwork should have been done.
A New Day!
Dad reports this morning:
Tommy got punched in the arm at school yesterday. He took it well. It’s the same kid that has targeted Tommy from the beginning. Tommy, in dealing with this child, has asked us, “Please don’t embarass me.” He wants to deal with it himself. I think that says a lot.
Yesterday while I was in the room with Tommy’s doctor and Tommy, Tommy turned on jerk mode so heavily that the doctor had to ask Tommy if he needed to have the police come remove him. After I left, Tommy calmed down greatly. What do I do that causes Tommy so much angst?
Dad reports:
Started the day off with Tommy and I yelling at each other. He didn’t want to walk the dog so he said, “My stomach hurts.” So I said he needed to rest and not play video games. So he changed it to “I’m fat. My stomach hurts when I move. I don’t like going outside. The game doesn’t hurt me.”
A New Day!
Dad reports this morning:
Last night Tommy looked like he intended on staying up all night playing video games. He sleeps now. I have no idea when he decided to give in.
On a somber note, we could lose our Internet connection this week. So for our regular readers, if you notice a lack of updates, please know that we will return as soon as possible (probably 2-3 weeks).
A New Day!
Dad reports this morning:
Tommy has started his day off “tired.” He is refusing to move or get dressed. His hair needs combing badly. He has picked a scab on the side of his nose. Today is picture day at the high school.
