Tommorrow night from 6:00pm - 7:30pm is the Knoxville Aspie Support Group meeting. The meeting is held at the Bearden branch of the Knoxville Public Library ( 100 GOLFCLUB RD, KNOXVILLE, TN 37919 ).
All are welcome. Typically the attendees are the caregivers of Aspergers diagnosed family but we have had adult aspies, friend’s of aspies and professionals attend. Dad reports:
Tommy is off to stay with bio-dad until the 21st. He was like a soda can shaken up. He was non-stop talking and trying to figure out ways to pack in as much interaction before he left. “Look at this. Look at that.” Tommy was nervous as all get out.

It will take some time for all the details of the weekend to surface. Tommy and his sister argued much of the weekend. Bio-dad yelled at Tommy. Tommy showered for an hour at the hotel without using soap or shampoo. Bio-dad took the kids to a pawn shop and let Tommy buy a Gerber multi-tool complete with two sharp blades. Apparently Tommy went right to whittling one of his sister’s cheese puffs. I immediately confiscated the knife. Tommy does not have the good sense to use a knife without supervision.

These next 9 days will be rather interesting.
