Mom reports: There are days when I feel calm no matter what Tommy does or says. Today was not one of those days. He woke his baby brother three times and every time it happened Tommy was stunned and confused. “I didn’t know he was asleep.” Tommy is getting on my very last nerve today with his loud noises and constant talking about nothing.

Mom reports: Tommy begrudgingly read "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok. He declared it to be "not too bad". Now he is reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Shakespeare sent him into a big tantrum so he is going to skip plays for a while. I know that he thinks I am a big meanie for telling him what to read but just reading Forgotten Realms books is not going to help him be culturally literate enough to pass the GED exam and there is much to learn from books that are based in the real world.
