Mom reports:
Tommy has to get a new board installed in his computer before he can use the PC game he got for Christmas. He hasn’t touched the world band radio since being lectured not to “turn the knobs too much or he’ll wear them out”. Right now he is trying to put together his remote control car but with all the rules being barked at him I predict he’ll be back on the new DS game (it required no assembly or safety rules) very soon. I am not an Aspie but I understand Tommy really well and right now I am keenly aware of how adults can take all the fun out of play.

Mom reports: From Thursday until Monday our family was overtaken by a nasty stomach virus. I knew my week would be spent trying to catch up on the damage inflicted to the laundry. Imagine the normal laundry for a family of 7 plus every piece of bedding and towel in the house being dirty and you have an idea of what I have to get done this week. Last night Tommy had no jammies (he sleeps in medical scrubs) in his drawer and he gave me a verbal lashing. “Doesn’t ANYONE ever do laundry around here?” I was not patient or appropriate with my response. “You can do laundry any time you want to do so.”

Mom reports:
Tommy likes to pick a song and play it over and over and over again. Since I can hear it through his broken headphones, I get to listen to it over and over and over again. Arrrgh!
