Mom reports: First came the notes, then the phone calls and finally the request for an m-team to rewrite Tommy’s behavior plan. Wednesday, January 25th, 2006Student project: Mood-phone for Asperger’s patients
Thursday, January 19th, 2006Dad reports:
Motorola has given an award to John Finan, who created a conceptual “mood-phone” that would help Asperger’s Syndrome patients determine the mood of the people they’re addressing. Asperger’s Syndrome famously afflicts sufferers by impairing their ability to pick up on social cues, and the mood-phone would makes those cues explicit, thus enabling Asperger’s patients to communicate more readily.

Tommy is getting smart-mouthy. This is normal teenager stuff that gets treated differently because of his Aspergers. He is also starting to fight doing schoolwork. I know he does less than other high schoolers, but it is still more than he has ever done at school. I question if we are pushing too hard, too fast. No. I know he can do this.
