Tommy in College today
The Boy Scouts are having a merit badge college today. Tommy applied for and got the veterinary merit badge! This merit badge is perfect since he wants to pursue the vet tech program at Lincoln Memorial University in the Fall. The pieces really seem to be falling together well for him. Today he will see a college campus as a student without mom and dad around. He will experience the vast campus and large classroom settings. This will be a great experience!

That is so great to hear about your son. Our Aspie son is only 7, but I’m always completely interested about how other Aspie’s have navigated middle and high school. We’ll be awaiting more great news in the future! Thanks for your blog.

Your son has given me so much hope for my son.Mia is 5 and smart as a whip. When I first got the diagnosis Mia was 3 and it felt as if a black cloud had hovered over me. I was afraid of everything when it cane to him . But school was the best thing for him ,he won a trophy for good conduct in P-K and has mastered almost 100 words.Don,t ever set limits for your Aspie kids they are our future leaders.Thank you so much for Tommy’s story ,I truley understand what it is to walk in your shoes.
