To Mr. Savage,

I agree with all the other responses that you are a complete idiot. My son had 13 different diognosis before we were told that he had aspergers syndrome (a high functioning form of autuism). He graduated from high school early and with a 3.2 gpa. Not many "normal kids" can do that. So Mr Savage get your facts straight before you talk about something on radio. And as for the comment that these kids have not father figure in their lives go to hell for that comment.;. All the best!!

Hey what an interesting post! And what a hot subject of debate. It is a tough choice, and a tougher thing still to watch.

I apologize most profusely for this being a rather off topic reply, but I’ve been reading through a few of your posts and I’d very much like to get your opinion on a matter of interest for me, I just didn’t know where to post it so I went with the most recent entry!

It sounds as if you are rather well informed about mental healthcare, I would love to hear your input on the subject of the mental health recovery movement, especially in relation to autism and Asperger’s treatments. Especially in regards to whether you felt one was more effective in treatment plans than the other. But if you haven’t encountered such a treatment plan, I would very much love to hear your take on the recovery model that is hitting the mental health field by storm of late anyways!

I would very much love to hear feedback and if you don’t mind I might even like quote you back on my own blog, the Mental Health Recovery Blog if you would be comfortable with such a quotation. I will of course reference back to you, but if you would prefer not to no worries at all I’d still very much love to hear your opinions!

If your not overly familiar with what the recovery movement is, there are some great article links at this post, and another great article is here .

I look forward to speaking with you more on the issue!

Warm regards,
Lex

I've been diagnose with Asperger Syndrome at the age of two years old. I also know about another Syndrome called Irlen Syndrome. People with Irlen Syndrome see letters move on the page if they try to read. The white
on the page is very sharp for people with Irlen Syndrome.

I'm just wandering over. My aspie is starting puberty and 7th grade in the fall. It is so encouraging to think that he'll be in college one day!

Please keep me posted how he's doing.

This frustrates me. How oversimplified and just plain wrong can you get? And yet, we have this problem with at least on of our son's teachers every year and we faced this concern as parents early on. If only that were the case. Mr. Savage is an ass. I wish he were right.

Unfortunately in a swamp where we camped, you can't bury it because we were too close to the water. And I agree about fast food!

I'd be considering a dump in the woods over the portapot. That's exceedingly foul.
Many people stink somethin fierce. BAD. I think it's all that fast food.

Savage can go fuck himself. I'd stab his eye out and blame it on birds, and he'd believe me, his logic is so flawed.
